LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - The Nebraska women’s basketball team picked up its tenth win of the season with an 87-35 victory over Omaha. The Huskers were paced by Callin Hake’s 17 points, while Jessica Petrie added 14 points. Hake tied her career high with five 3-pointers, each coming in the first half.
Nebraska, despite being a 62.5-point favorite, started slow against the in-state opponent. Omaha built a quick 10-3 lead before the 24th-ranked Huskers settled in. NU went in front on a 3-pointer from redshirt freshman Kennadi Williams. After that, Nebraska poured it on by outscoring the Mavericks 67-20 over the final three periods.
Nebraska returns to action on Sunday against Illinois State.
