The City of Edmonton has partnered with Enoch Cree Nation and the provincial government to expand some key roadways in the city's west end.

The majority of work is happening on Whitemud Drive between 215th Street and 231st Street, with that stretch of the road set to be completely restructured to become a four-lane divided section.

The city's contribution will total $7.3 million in 2026 and $2 million in 2027. The spending commitments were approved by city council during budget deliberations last week.
