RAJKOT: A seven-year-old girl was allegedly raped and brutalized with an iron rod inserted into her private parts in village under jurisdiction of Atkot police station in Rajkot district. The police have detained the accused, Ramsingh, a 35-year-old father of three children. The girl is under treatment at the govt children's hospital in Rajkot and her condition is said to be stable. According to the police, the accused kidnapped the girl on Dec 4 when her parents were working on the farm. He took her to an isolated spot nearby, gagged and assaulted her. The suspect then allegedly inserted a one-feet iron rod into her private parts.
