NAPOLEON — An early clash between the expected favorites out of the Northern Lakes League Buckeye and Cardinal divisions pitted the girls basketball teams of Anthony Wayne and Napoleon against each other on Tuesday. It was a dominant road win for the Generals, 69-35.

“What I’ve been told about the most since taking this job is Corey Kreinbrink,” Anthony Wayne coach Chandler Adams said. “We’re standing underneath his banner right now, so we knew we were facing a good coach… that’s a good team. I think they’re going to do really well in the Cardinal. Our girls came here after traveling five hours round trip two days ago, playing in a really high-emotion game, and they did the job tonight. That’s what they do.”
