ROCKY RIVER, Ohio — Pickleball has returned to Rocky River’s Civic Center after a month-long pause prompted by misbehaving adults, but residents hoping to play will need to plan ahead — and pay extra.
Adult pickleball resumed Dec. 3 with mini sessions on Wednesdays and Fridays through Dec. 19.
The Rec department also began taking reservations for six-week winter sessions that begin Jan. 7. The sessions, either Wednesday or Friday, run from noon to 3 p.m. on three indoor courts.
Unlike the casual drop-in play that was available before the hiatus, players now must register in advance. And the city says only 20 spots per session are available.
Players must also pay an additional program fee on top of any Civic Center membership or admission.
The December mini-sessions are $15 for membe
