BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Amid an ongoing immigration crackdown in Louisiana, videos reportedly show federal agents in Gonzales and Livingston Parish.

The Department of Homeland Security recently launched “Operation Catahoula Crunch.” In an announcement about the operation, officials said the goal is to target criminal illegal aliens roaming free because of sanctuary policies.

At least one video surfaced on social media on Tuesday evening, December 9. The person who filmed it told WAFB that two people were detained outside the Ideal Market in Gonzales, which is off of Highway 30.

WAFB reached out to the Department of Homeland Security to confirm specific details about what took place in Gonzales. We were referred to a news release about arrests made in New Orleans.
