A British mum drowned on holiday after going for a swim with her son, an inquest heard.
Emma Slack and her son were swept up by powerful waves and "lost her footing" in her struggle. Her husband Rob desperately tried to save Emma , 54, but got into difficultly himself and his spouse was "pulled by the undercurrent" towards rocks.
An inquest yesterday heard Mrs Slack was a "competent swimmer" who was "aware and sensible and would never knowingly put herself or her son in danger," but was ultimately the victim of "simply a tragic accident".
Senior coroner for north Wales, John Gittins, recorded a conclusion of accidental
