Full service hours begins Monday, Dec. 8, at Gateway Library, Mesa’s first new full-service library
in three decades that also provides unique, innovative spaces to serve various facets of the community.
A grand opening was to held Saturday, Dec. 6, for the 28,000-square-foot facility, which sits on the edge of the Eastmark master-planned community’s Great Park in Southeast Mesa.
“The Gateway Library is a beautifully designed facility that reflects what it means for Mesa to be a full-service city,” Mayor Mark Freeman said in a news release. “This is one of the many amenities we are proud to provide for our residents.”
Inside the state-of-the-art library are a multipurpose room, THINKspot collaborative makerspace, digital art wall, study rooms, a teen lounge and a children’s area. There
