The scooter driver hit by a school bus in Lakewood last week has died from her injuries, officials said.

The young woman was identified as 19-year-old Angles Nieto Gonzalez, Lakewood Mayor Raymond Coles told NJ Advance Media on Tuesday.

The date that she was pronounced dead was not immediately clear. A spokesperson for the Lakewood Township Police Department did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The school bus struck the woman about 8 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 30, near the intersection of West County Line and Hope Chapel roads, police said last week.

After the crash, authorities said the woman was being treated for a head injury at a local hospital. Police have not released any additional details about the crash.
