The Detroit Tigers overhauled their bullpen at the 2025 trade deadline, and closer Kyle Finnegan was their top acquisition. The 34-year-old right-hander, an All-Star with the Washington Nationals in 2024, allowed only nine hits and three runs over 18 innings down the stretch.

Now, Finnegan and the Tigers are set to run it back in 2026.

According to multiple reports Tuesday, Finnegan signed a two-year, $19 million contract that can max out at $20 million with incentives.

Finnegan went 4-4 with a 3.47 ERA in 56 games last season for the Nationals and Tigers.
