Star Windies wicketkeeper-batter Nicholas Pooran has landed himself in troubled waters after he did not stump out Max Holden despite the latter being way out of his crease during an ILT20 game.

A thrilling finish with a one-run margin, a late collapse and a dramatic final over stole the spotlight, b ut the oddest moment came earlier, when Pooran chose not to stump Holden, prompting the Desert Vipers to retire him out in the very next over.

Holden came in at number three after Andries Gous retired hurt but couldn’t get going. By the 16th over, the Vipers were 117/1 with Holden on 42 off 36, their innings stuck in first gear.
