An interfaith service of remembrance for those who have lost someone to a substance use disorder will be held on Wednesday, December 17, at the Waquoit Congregational Church, beginning at 2 PM .
The holiday season can be difficult for those carrying grief. This service offers a space for reflection, connection and healing, and will include interfaith prayers, music, meditation and reading of loved ones' names and lighting of candles, as well as an opportunity to create prayer flags.
The goal of the gathering is to remind people that they are not alone and to provide comfort and community during the holiday season, a time when many feel the absence of their loved ones most deeply.
Co-sponsored by Falmouth’s Commission on Substance Use and Brave Hearts, a group for anyone 18 years of age
