”Troy’s Take” in last Friday’s paper was an excellent tribute to “three iconic Falmouth women.” He gave them well-deserved honor and also real personalities, each one well seasoned with anecdotes and humor. I knew Barbara Kanellopoulos best of these three and Troy’s Take on her was a welcome reminder of the times we worked together on town affairs.

Then I read the Beacon Hill Roll Call on page 11A. What a wonderful surprise! “Make Jurassic Armored Mud Ball (JAMB) The Official Sedimentary Structure Of The State (H3438).” Who could resist such a headline? The House gave initial approval to the bill and, if passed, JAMB will join our State Dinosaur (Podokesaurus) and our State Fossil (Dino Footprints). Who knew we had such creatures in Massachusetts, let alone valued them so much?
