CJ Mistichelli’s power play goal in overtime lifted St. Augustine, No. 6 in the NJ.com Top 20, to a 3-2 victory over No. 2 Don Bosco Prep at Hollydell Ice Arena in Sewell.
Cameron DeLeo and Dom Liberati assisted on the game-winner for St. Augustine (1-0).
St. Augustine tied the game in the third period on a Braden Betancourt goal which was assisted by DeLeo and Mistichelli.
DeLeo opened the scoring with a goal in the second period that gave St. Augustine a 1-0 lead. Liberati had two assists and KJ Williams made 17 saves.
Don Bosco Prep (1-1) took a 2-1 lead thanks to second period goals by Ryan Murphy and Chris Conklin. Nick Zayas had two assists and Alex Annunziato made 13 saves.
