A plan to double the size of a HMO in Nuneaton has been resubmitted after initial proposals were thrown out. CoventryLive reported that an application had been made for 229 Queens Road.

It was turn the current six bedroom House of Multiple Occupation (HMO) to a 12 bed HMO, to accommodate 12 residents. This plan was refused amid concerns about flooding.

But another has now been submitted to Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council. Again it asks for the go-ahead for a first floor rear extension and change of use from a six-bed HMO to 12-bed HMO, for 12 people.

The new application contains a flood risk assessment undertaken for the site. It makes a number of conclusions following checks of Environment Agency flood maps and other data.
