A’Ja Wilson is feeling like Thanos, according to a profile written up on the basketball superstar that published Dec. 9.
She’s collected so many awards — and a Columbia statue — that she is peerless in the Women’s National Basketball League.
Wilson, a Columbia native who led the USC women’s basketball team to an NCAA Championship in 2017, was named TIME’s Athlete of the Year.
The Las Vegas Aces player is the league’s top player. According to the magazine, “She’s the first player, in WNBA or NBA history, to win a championship and be named Finals MVP, league MVP, and Defensive Player of the Year in the same season.”
