The Mid-Penn basketball season has kicked off, with one of the most competitive leagues in the state set for another big-time year.

PennLive surveyed all the conference’s coaches for outlooks for the coming season.

Here is a look at the Mid-Penn Capital Division’s projected order of finish from them, as well as previews for each team.

8. James Buchanan

Coach: Matt Piper

Last year: 5-17

Key players: G Jayden Rineer, G Fisher McKee, G Avery Hoffeditz, G Logan Swailes, G Anden Mickley, G Zack Stoner

Outlook: The Rockets are always a hard-playing group under head coach Matt Piper. They might be able to build on some continuity this coming season, notably with top scorer Jayden Rineer taking the reigns as a leader for the group.

7. Camp Hill

Coach: Scott Barrows

Last year: 5-1
