Eileen Higgins becomes Miami’s first female mayor, first Democratic mayor in nearly 30 years

It was a historic night in the City of Miami on Tuesday after Eileen Higgins was elected to become the city’s first female mayor, the first Democratic mayor in nearly 30 years and the first non-Hispanic mayor since the 1990s.
