Forget glitter and bright red lipstick, this year's most unexpected festive beauty trend has come straight from the kerb.
Make-up artist and influencer Genevieve Turley has gone viral after revealing her Christmas party look was inspired by a matte grey Škoda Elroq vRS she spotted parked on the street.
While the rest of Britain looks to strut in sparkles, Genevieve - who posts as @genevieveturleymua - has shunned the shimmer for an anti-glitter, moody-grey Skoda-inspired makeover.
Her latest reel - which has racked up thousands of views in just 48 hours - shows her recreating the cool, steely tones of the Škoda Elroq vRS in full glam form.
The dramatic winged liner? That's the car's sleek, angular lines. The matte grey eyeshadow? Straight from its premium paint job. Even her eye shape is sculpted to mimic the curve of the wheel arches.
Discussing her look and its odd origins, Genevieve said: "It feels cool, confident, and different from the usual sparkle we see in December. While I love a sequin, matte grey has a modern, understated edge that surprisingly mimics the fierceness of the car. It's a great alternative look for the Christmas party."
Her followers were impressed by her motoring make-up choice - with some surprised that the look had appeal far beyond its novelty value.
Follower @DomInTheKitchen joked, "This feels like it should be irony but it's not and I'm kinda here for it. You'll stop traffic, that's for sure."
Meanwhile, another fan, @MikhilaMcDaid commented, "You are a GENIUS", and @Chazowncreative added, "Yes! The grey made your eyes pop out. A stunning look."
So while the rest of us are out here shedding glitter like a budget Christmas tree, Genevieve is proving that this season's hottest, if unlikeliest, trend... might just be going out with a face that's a nifty shade of Škoda matte grey.
