December 10, 2015 – Bemidji State administrators and faculty are trying to calm a ripple of anti-Muslim sentiment at the college while an intensifying faction of the country “views Islam as a threat to national security.” Of the roughly 5,000 students enrolled at the university, around a dozen are Muslim.
December 10, 2000 – The Northern Township Board will soon decide if plans to create a teen dance hall will be approved. Concerns about security and noise have been expressed by neighbors, but hopeful owner Vincent King said he is “not a novice to teen dance clubs” and will monitor safety and noise levels.
