Meghan Markle has finally made direct contact with her father Thomas Markle , according to her spokesperson. It was reported on Friday (December 5) that the Duchess of Sussex had "reached out" to her estranged dad after learning that he was gravely ill in a hospital in the Philippines. ‌

However, Mr Markle told The Mail on Sunday that he didn't receive any message from his daughter, whether that be in the form of a written note or over the phone. However, a new statement reveals that her father, Thomas, now has her letter. ‌
