INDIANAPOLIS — Nine games into the 2025-26 season the Butler basketball team is 7-2, the exact record it held through nine games last season, but there's a different feeling around this group of Bulldogs .

Junior Finley Bizjack has taken a leap in production, going from 10.3 points per game to 18. Gonzaga transfer Michael Ajayi has supplied a dominant two-way presence, elevating a defense that struggled last season. Junior Drayton Jones is showing progress as a two-way threat and passer, and Butler 's freshmen class have all shown flashes.
