President Donald Trump admits he used the slur “shithole countries” during a private 2018 meeting with lawmakers to disparage Haiti and African nations.

On Tuesday, he recalled the comment at a rally in Pennsylvania, despite previously denying it.

Trump further criticized Somalia, calling it “filthy, dirty, disgusting, ridden with crime.”

He was discussing a “permanent pause” on migration from countries like Afghanistan, Haiti, and Somalia when someone in the audience yelled out the 2018 slur.

He repeated the story, including his comments about favoring migration from predominantly white countries.

At the time, his comments were widely condemned as racist.

In 2018, he had denied using the language in the meeting.
