2Cold front brings snow chances and a deep freeze to New Jersey this weekend
TRENTON, NJ – Rain and mild air will give way to a sharp chill across New Jersey by midweek, followed by a cold, breezy stretch and a chance for light snow as the weekend approaches.
Forecasters expect rain to develop late today, mainly after 4 p.m., with temperatures topping out near 46 degrees under mostly cloudy skies.
By tonight, the rain will taper off before 8 p.m., skies will gradually clear, and temperatures will drop sharply to around 29 degrees as a cold front moves through.

Thursday will feel much colder, with highs only reaching the mid-30s. Strong west winds gusting up to 30 mph will make it feel even colder throughout the day.
