Forecasters predict Wednesday will be windy with snow and rain this morning, up to an inch, followed by a snow shower this afternoon. The total snowfall will be 3-6 inches. Untreated roads will be snow packed and slippery.
Throughout the day, winds will be blowing north-northwest at 16.1 mph.
Ionia County remains under a winter weather advisory, issued by the National Weather Service. The updated alert was issued at 2:51 a.m. and remains in effect until 4 p.m.
It states that additional snow accumulations, 1-3 inches, are possible along I-96. Roads, especially bridges and overpasses, will likely be slick and hazardous, NWS wrote.
