A grandmother who was caught smuggling rave drugs into a dance music festival after she got into severe debt with her cocaine dealer has been jailed for two and a half years.

Mature college student Nicole France, 53, was arrested after she was stopped by a police sniffer dog at the entrance of Creamfields in Daresbury, Cheshire, and she was found to have ketamine and ecstasy worth almost £2,500 hidden inside her vagina.

When quizzed France said she had travelled 220 miles from her flat in Sutton in Surrey with a free festival ticket to bring drugs inside the event on the ''instruction'' of her dealer who had told her: ''You will do this for me.''
