This was supposed to be a bit of a down year for football at Coachella Valley High School.

Some of the top players in program history graduated after the 2024 season, including the school's all-time leading scorer and rusher in Aaron Ramirez, the school's all-time leading receiver in Mikey Rodriguez and the school's all-league quarterback in Derek Calderon.
