A tourist at a Brit holiday hotspot was subjected to a raft of death threats and vile messages from Spanish locals – after praising the city and its beach.

Kyzo, a programmer from Poland, landed in coastal city Valencia at the end of November ahead of its marathon on December 7. He had spent a few weeks travelling in San Francisco, California, US, and posted an innocent tweet shortly after arriving.

Sharing footage of the beach on X, he wrote: “Just landed in Spain. Unbelievable what sand, sun and sea can do to your mood. Love it here so far. Also prices are 10x cheaper than SF [San Francisco].”
