Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday announced his endorsement of state Treasurer Stacy Garrity in her run for governor on Wednesday.
Ms. Garrity launched her campaign in August, becoming the first Republican in the state to announce a run for the GOP nomination, to challenge incumbent Democrat Gov. Josh Shapiro, a potential 2028 presidential candidate who has not yet announced a widely expected 2026 re-election campaign for the governor’s office.
In his endorsement announcement, Mr. Sunday, who defeated Democrat Euguene DePasquale as the Republican candidate in the election for attorney general in November 2024, highlighted Ms. Garrity’s military, state government and business experience.
“Pennsylvania needs leaders who put service over self, which is the hallmark of Stacy Garrity
