City of Mayfield remembers 4th anniversary of EF4 tornado

MAYFIELD, Ky. (KFVS) - The city of Mayfield is remembering the victims four years after a deadly EF4 tornado.

That tornado killed more than 20 people in and around the Mayfield area and in western Kentucky. Dozens of houses were damaged or destroyed.

M ore than 100 employees were working at Mayfield Consumer Products, a candle factory, at the time. It was flattened by the tornado.

Several historic buildings in the town square, including the Graves County Courthouse, were also destroyed.
