FREMONT, Neb. (WOWT) - Police arrested a 21-year-old Fremont man after a pedestrian was hit in north Fremont on Tuesday night.

Sebastian Jose Gutierrez is facing charges of leaving the scene of an injury accident, not having an operator’s license, and tampering with physical evidence.

According to a social media post from Fremont Police , the incident was reported at 9:12 p.m. near East 23rd Avenue and Buckingham Road. Officers reported finding a unconscious man lying in the road — but no suspect or vehicle in sight.

The man was taken to the hospital, police said.

During the course of investigating the incident, officers later found the suspect vehicle in a parking lot a few blocks south and west from the crash, the report states.
