Tucking into a classic British Sunday lunch at a pub in Wales has left dozens of diners with food poisoning.
The Corner House Inn in Llangynwyd, Wales, temporarily shut its doors last week after Public Health Wales linked customers’ illnesses to meals served there.
While environmental health officers investigated the pub’s premises, the staff did a thorough deep clean and sanitisation.
Siobhan Adams, Consultant in Health Protection at Public Health Wales, said: ‘Public Health Wales, working with Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board and Environmental Health Officers from Shared Regulatory Services, is concluding its investigation into reports of illness following customers eating Sunday lunch at the Corner House Inn in Llangynwyd, Maesteg.
