A 15-year-old boy has died after being stabbed in Islington with his killer still on the run.

Met Police detectives have launched a murder investigation after officers were called to reports of a stabbing on Westbourne Road in north London at 1pm on Tuesday.

The boy was treated by paramedics for a single stab wound before being taken to hospital.

He passed away from his injury.

His family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
