Arkansas State Police confirmed Monday it is investigating North Little Rock Mayor Terry Hartwick after a complaint was filed against him with the agency regarding “an interaction at a public event.”
The agency said the investigation is being done “at the request” of the city and it has been assigned to the Special Investigation Unit.
According to a statement from the city of North Little Rock, Hartwick is fully cooperating with authorities regarding the matter.
“Out of respect for the process and the involved individual(s), the City cannot provide additional information at this time,” the statement read.
Hartwick, 77, is in his second term as mayor of North Little Rock after being re-elected in 2020. He originally served as mayor from 1985 to 1988 before losing re-election in the Demo
