PennDOT reduces speed limits on interstates in NEPA

Due to the severity of the winter storm, PennDOT is temporarily reducing the speed limit to 45 mph on the following interstates:

• Interstate 81 from the I-80/81 interchange in Luzerne County to the PA/NY state line.

• Interstate 380 in Lackawanna and Wayne counties.

The purpose of the restriction is to help ensure the interstates remain open during the most challenging conditions of the winter storm. When conditions improve, PennDOT
