ROCHESTER, Minn. — The Destination Medical Center Corporation (DMCC) Board of Directors focused on key priorities at its December meeting on Wednesday, emphasizing talent development, long-term planning, and downtown stewardship.

The board discussed expanding the University of Minnesota Rochester (UMR) campus to support enrollment growth and workforce needs in health and life sciences. UMR plans to integrate its expansion into DMC subdistricts, reinforcing Rochester as a walkable, innovation-centered community.

“In this time of growth for Rochester—spurred by the bold actions of DMC, the City, and Mayo Clinic—the University of Minnesota is ready to expand its impact,” said University of Minnesota President Dr. Rebecca Cunningham.
