CBS News announced on Wednesday that it will move CBS Mornings co-host Tony Dokoupil to its evening line-up as the network seeks to win back viewers who have “lost trust in the media.”

Dokoupil will host CBS Evening News starting Jan. 5 , 2026, around seven years after he began co-hosting CBS Mornings with Gayle King and Nate Burleson. CBS Evening News co-hosts John Bickerson and Maurice DeBois announced their resignations in October and last week, respectively. Their final episodes of the show will air this month.
