GRAND RAPIDS, MI — Grand Rapids’ biggest office furniture company has officially come under new ownership.
Steelcase on Wednesday, Dec. 10, announced the closing of its $2.2 billion acquisition by HNI Corporation of Muscatine, Iowa.
“Over time, our complementary strengths will position us with the scale and capability to deliver greater innovation, enhanced quality and responsive services, all while continuing the relationships and brand experience customers know and trust,” a statement from Steelcase read. “Together, our expanded resources and investments will lead the industry forward, helping the world work better and enhancing the spaces where people work, live and gather.”
