Cailee Spaeney is adding a little more to the conversation about Jacob Elordi .

The actress clarified her and her Priscilla costar's offscreen relationship status after Jacob’s phone wallpaper was revealed to be a picture of them doing karaoke, with romance rumors soon abounding.

“This was a great night,” Cailee said during an appearance on Today Dec. 9. “He’s a dear friend and I’m so proud of him.”

Further explaining the origin story of the picture, the 27-year-old added, “He came to London, and I was in town. The only way to celebrate anything is a night of karaoke. So, this is us probably singing Shakira or something, as you do.”
