The AHSAA announced on Wednesday that the fall sports reclassification announcement will be moved to January.

The new classes and regions for football and areas for volleyball were supposed to be announced Dec. 15 following the Central Board of Control meeting. The AHSAA sent a release out to media and cited the need to move the announcements due to "Current mediation."

The AHSAA did not say who the mediation was with, or what was the mediation was about. The new classifications and areas are scheduled to come out on Jan. 23, 2026 according to the release.
