While central Pennsylvania has avoided most of the wintery precipitation from the latest storm, other portions of the state have not been so lucky.
The National Weather Service has issued several winter weather warnings and advisories for portions of the state extending into Thursday.
In northern and western Pennsylvania, more snow is expected as well as heavy wind gusts.
A winter weather advisory was issued for Cambia and Somerset counties, where the wind will reach speeds of up to 45 mph.
“Plan on slippery road conditions,” the alert reads. “The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday evening and Thursday morning commutes. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches and reduce visibility at times in blowing snow.”
A similar alert was issued for Cameron, Elk, McKean, Potter
