Hamiltonians woke up to a wet mess Wednesday after an overnight storm brought a mix of snow and rain to the city. More snow is expected Thursday.
Slush and snow covered the roads and sidewalks across Hamilton, making the morning commute a slippery affair. The wintery mix continued to fall across the city, making it hard to see in some areas.
Environment Canada warns of an additional five to 10 centimetres of snow by the afternoon, after placing Hamilton and other parts of the surrounding region under a special weather statement Tuesday afternoon for flurries and freezing drizzle. The agency had removed its special statement by Wednesday morning, but was still warning of heavy snow.
