PEMBERVILLE, Ohio — Students and staff at Eastwood High School found an unexpected blast from the past.
A cassette tape, a Polaroid class picture and a Toledo Blade article were all items found on in a time capsule from 1999, assembled by the Eastwood High School class of 2005 when they were in 7th grade.
What lead them to the discovery was a blueprint found with some old documents behind a storage cabinet in teacher Mr. Madaras' room on Nov. 5.
"I got a voicemail from high school guidance counselor Andrew Hemminger, who had found the blueprint, and he's like, 'Hey, there's a time capsule marked on here. What do you think?'" said Superintendent Brian Hughes. "So we went, looked at the blueprint and we went around the school and we were looking."
