Hollywood is mourning a sudden loss.

Actress Wenne Alton Davis —best known for playing roles on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel , Girls5eva and New Amsterdam — died after being hit by a car in New York City Dec. 8, police and her agent confirmed to The New York Times . She was 60.

Police told the outlet Davis was hit by an S.U.V. that was traveling on West 53rd Street in Midtown Manhattan and made a left turn on Broadway where the vehicle struck a pedestrian. Davis was transferred to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.

E! News has reached out to authorities and a rep for Davis but hasn’t heard back .
