No, not the London and Paris that Charles Dickens wrote about in 1859, in one of his famous novels.
This is about Wilkes-Barre and Hazleton, both of which are lucky enough this season to have a community theatre production of “A Christmas Carol” — based on an 1843 Dickens’ novella.
In Wilkes-Barre, Little Theatre’s version of the holiday classic about Ebenezer Scrooge and his ghostly visitors is set for Dec. 12 through Dec. 21 with shows at 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 3 p.m. on Sundays in the historic theater, 537 North Main St., Wilkes-Barre.
In Hazleton, the Pennsylvania Theatre of Performing Arts will present the Victorian tale at 7 p.m. Dec. 12 and Dec. 13 with a matinee at 3 p.m. Dec. 14 in the J.J. Ferrara Center, 212 West Broad St.
