Three additional teenagers have been arrested in the stabbing of a 17-year-old boy during a fight last month on Long Island.
The attack happened just before 9 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, in Brightwaters, in a rear parking lot near Orinoco Drive and Pine Acres Boulevard, as Daily Voice reported.
Officers responded to a 911 call reporting a stabbing during a fight among several teens, according to Suffolk County Police. Responding officers found the victim with multiple stab wounds. He was taken to a local hospital in serious condition.
A 17-year-old from Bay Shore was arrested shortly after the incident and charged with second-degree gang assault, police said. His name is being withheld due to his age.
Following additional investigation, Third Squad detectives arrested two more teens — a 16-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy, both from Bay Shore — on Tuesday, Dec. 9. Both were charged with second-degree gang assault and arraigned Wednesday, Dec. 10, in the Youth Part of First District Court in Central Islip.
A 15-year-old Bay Shore boy was arrested Wednesday, Dec. 10, and charged with first-degree gang assault and first-degree assault. He is being held overnight at a juvenile facility ahead of arraignment Thursday, Dec. 11, in the Youth Part.
Because all of the accused are juveniles, their names are not being released.
The investigation remains ongoing. Detectives ask anyone with information to contact the Third Squad at 631-854-8352.
