A 28-year-old Townsend man has been charged with murder and related charges following a Dec. 3 fatal crash near Middletown involving a pregnant woman, Delaware State Police said.

The woman survived the crash and gave birth, but police said her infant died days after being born.

Pavan Patel has been charged with second-degree murder recklessly causing death with indifference to human life in connection with the death of La’Royce Johnson-Young.
