BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The 2025 high school football season officially wrapped over the weekend and an array of athletes and coaches from South Central Kentucky were recognized for their achievements on the field this year

Representing district two, three standouts were named the Player of the Year in Hudson Gumm (3A), Davis Chaney (5A) and Kayden York (6A).

Gumm threw for 1,558 passing yards for Glasgow in his senior year and helped lead the Scotties to their first undefeated regular season since 2011.

Chaney led Greenwood in scoring this season with 1,067 rushing yards for 18 touchdowns. Averaging 10.8 points per game, the Gator ranked No. 11 in scoring in Class 5A.

York, South Warren’s star running back, also topped the charts in scoring for his class, coming in at No. 3 in 6A with 1
