Wednesday the Federal Reserve cut interest rates for the third time this year by a quarter-percentage point. At the same time, President Donald Trump held a campaign-style event in Pennsylvania promising "lower prices, bigger paychecks." The cost of living is front and center.

While watching their children play at Lake Lily Park in Maitland moms Jackie Tuttle and Kristin Gladd had the economy on their minds.

"I think everything's way more expensive. Shopping. We were just talking about Christmas gifts and trying to do all the things that we always do, but now it's way more expensive," said Gladd.

Tuttle echoed those feelings saying, "Nothing is affordable really, not even the Dollar Tree anymore."
