Authorities say a train collided with a vehicle Wednesday afternoon at Hammond Avenue and Effie Street in Fresno.

The Fresno Police Department said the investigation is ongoing.

Fresno City College sent a text alert advising people to avoid McKinley and Blackstone avenues because a freight train was stopped following the collision.

No additional details on injuries or damages were immediately available.
